In 2019, the Department of Education commenced regional reviews as part of Queensland’s bilateral agreement under the National School Reform Agreement, with each region being reviewed in a 4-year cycle.
The reviews are conducted by the School and Region Reviews (SRR) branch and are focused on the role regions play in supporting schools and early childhood education and care services.
The SRR also undertakes commissioned system reviews and stakeholder consultation processes to build the department’s capacity for evaluation and continuous improvement.
